Dr Mithun Joshi

Dr Joshi is an Australian-educated and Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He has an interest in general Orthopaedic Trauma as well. 

Dr Joshi studied medicine at the University of Sydney and completed Orthopaedic training in New South Wales through the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s Education and Training Program. He then undertook two highly reputed Shoulder and Elbow Fellowships in the United Kingdom at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital- Stanmore. During this period overseas, he also had the privilege of visiting other shoulder and elbow experts in the United Kingdom and United States.

Before studying medicine and training to be an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Joshi worked as a Sports Physiotherapist in the United States. This allied health background allows him to value the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the care of his patients.

Dr Joshi has a keen interest in research, education and training. He has authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented this research at local and international meetings. He keeps up with the latest techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery by maintaining professional memberships with various national and international subspecialty groups.

Dr Joshi is happy to see Age Pensioners, Medicare, Private, Workcover and Third-Party patients through his Campbelltown or Gladesville rooms. Patients requiring surgery can be managed at Campbelltown Private Hospital, Camden Surgical Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Castlecrag Private Hospital or Hunters Hill Private Hospital.

Dr Joshi is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
